Known as one of the most versatile materials on the market, titanium dioxide is present in the most diverse segments and is a pigment mostly used to check whiteness and opacity.

Due to its unique properties, titanium dioxide is widely used and well known in the paint, paper, rubber, ink and printing, glass, fiber, ceramic and coloring, plastic, textile/leather, enamel and PVC profiles industries.

The two best types of titanium dioxide are rutile and anatase, both have particularities that differentiate them. Anatase is less abrasive and its use is more suitable for the ceramic, cosmetics, paper and interior paint industries. Rutile has greater durability, UV protection and its use is common in the manufacture of inks, plastics, adhesives, rubbers and masterbatches.
